Project Approach
It takes several decades to have a broad based and well-rounded approach to design and problem solving. Clark Brewer is an Architect with 30 years of professional experience who has the breadth of knowledge to collaborate with individual clients, developers, and construction professionals to take ideas and bring them to fruition in an efficient, environmentally sensitive, and cost-effective manner.
Each project has a unique set of problems and opportunities. We start with a thorough review of existing conditions and then move in to an in depth review and discussion of ideas, vision and goals. This begins the creative process combining practical options and enhanced vision. Once a final design is established, we create construction documents, facilitate any permitting and provide coordination throughout the construction process to ensure that the project is carried out to the highest quality standards.
We manage all stages of a project- from the pre-development phase through construction and completion. We collaborate with owners, investors, contractors, engineers, and other specialized trades people, to foster a team approach to ensure strong communication, efficiency, adherence to budget, and ultimately a highly successful result.
Working with a client or community involves identifying stakeholders and working within a multi-layered system requiring detailed contract documents, bidding procedures and contract support. Taking a project from design to completion has a number of steps that include various problems to avoid and opportunities to engender. With extensive knowledge of the municipal process, including zoning laws, building codes, public policy, and regulatory and statutory guidelines.
Prior to establishing his architectural firm in 2000, Mr. Brewer designed and managed a wide range of projects at several nationally and internationally renowned Boston architecture firms.
Clark is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects and volunteers his time as chairman and elected to the Cohasset Planning Board, as well as chairman of the Cohasset Master Plan committee and the Cohasset Affordable Housing committee and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council's South Shore coalition.
